Have you submitted your middle grade or young adult first page yet to the Rosh Hashonah challenge? There’s still time. The deadline is September 15.
Start the New Year off with a submission. The top three first pages in each category win a day book from the Jewish Museum.

L’shana tova!
Hi Barbara,
What a fun contest. I have a question. Do we sunbittern just a typical “first page” of 150 words or is it the first “pages” as in 250 or so words?
Thanks,
Marcia
P.S. Shana Tovah to everyone!
Hi, Marcia,
I would aim for about 200-250 words. You can title your piece at the very top – some entrants used a header for that to save some space.
Hope to see your entry!
Barb
I only write picture books as of now, but very much appreciate all you share with Jewish writers. L’shana tova.
