Upcoming Highlights Foundation Workshop–Writing Jewish-themed Children’s Books
From May 23-25, a group of writers will gather at the home of the Highlights founders in the Poconos for the first-ever workshop on Jewish content for kids. Our guest faculty includes: storyteller and award-winning author Jane Yolen, master storyteller Penninah Schram, Jewish Book World children’s book review editor Lisa Silverman, Delacorte executive editor Francoise Bui, Hachai Publishing editor Devorah Leah Rosenfeld, East/West Literary agent Rubin Pfeffer, Andrea Brown Literary agent Mary Kole, and Calkins Creek editor Carolyn Yoder. Workshop attendees receive an hour manuscript critique with an editor or agent. The event sold out quickly and has a waiting list.
