  1. Is there any kind of word count guidance you can offer for a picture book, I am working on something for children 4-6 years old and I am around 1000 words, is that too long?

Thanks and I will share this on my blog.

    • Length of a picture book depends greatly on the content and the editor/publisher. What might be just right for one could be too long for another. However, most will tell you it should have fewer than 1,000 words and, in a sense, the fewer the better. Anyone else, please chime in!
