Call for Submissions: Jewish Women’s Literary Annual Needs Prose

I spent part of the weekend at a poetry intensive retreat where the editor of the Jewish Women’s Literary Annual, Dr. Henny Wenkart, was also a participant. She said she’s looking for prose for the latest issue. If you are a Jewish woman and have a short story, an essay, or memoir, consider sending it for possible publication to:

    • Henny didn’t mention a specific timeframe, but she wants to wrap up the current issue, so sooner is better than later. Henny doesn’t use email. You have to use postal mail for submissions. The retreat, as always, generated a lot of emotions. It was awfully hot, so I commuted from home.

  2. Catherine Gonick says:

Are there guidelines as to length, etc? If so, where can they be found? Thanks.

    • There’s nothing online about guidelines. A story I had published in the annual ran about 2,000 words, if that helps. The guidelines may be in the annual itself, but I don’t have access to any of them right now.
      Best,
      Barbara
