Mid-Week Notes

Three quick things:

  1. Each day brings new writing opportunities into my email inbox whether from Amherst Writers & Artists group leaders, past workshop leaders, or more formal organizations such as Writers Studio. I toyed with the idea of signing up for a course but decided to just focus on finishing out the semester.
  2. I have taken up a long-term project to translate from Yiddish a journal article by the father of Holocaust historiography, Philip Friedman, about the extermination of eastern Galician Jewry.
  3. Take advantage of any opportunities to hear virtual readings! I will be presenting a paper about Displaced Persons in New Jersey at the now-virtual American Jewish Historical Society Scholars Conference later this spring.

I hope all of you out there are well. Take care of yourselves!
