Three quick things this week:
- Still following the “rules” set out by Susan Shapiro in The Byline Bible. I got no reaction to my pitch from two weeks ago, so I sent a follow-up today.
- I was contacted by a work-for-hire publisher and we had a nice conversation. Then in a follow-up email, I find out the publishers asks authors for three endorsements and the names of forty people. I will not do that for work for hire, and I said so.
- I was going to work on my bio in verse revisions, but the editor told me she wouldn’t have time to review them in December, that December is a wrap-up month. Indeed, I’m seeing editorial responses finally coming in for my agency clients.
