Mid-Week Field Notes

Three quick things this week:

  1. For my “Artist Date” this week, I engaged in an evening of “Soul Collage.” I created eleven cards that I can use as prompts for my writing. You basically find images that speak to you in some way. I found myself uncovering image details I may not have initially seen.

2. I revised a picture book and my bio in verse last week. I had to remind myself that revision is a hurdle to get over and that I always feel like quitting when the going gets rough. I just had to get over the hurdle. Streaming SiriusXM from my desktop helped.

3. So many things are still up in the air for 2021. I will be writing with Lisa Colburn at Market Street Writers tonight to figure out my goals.

Happy New Year! Be safe and take care.
