Mid-Week Field Notes

Four quick things this week:

  • I’ll be moderating a book editorial panel on Feb. 8, 6 pm ET, at William Paterson University. Editors are : Altie Karper at Schocken; Tracy Sherrod at Amistad, an imprint of Harper Collins; Abby Muller at Algonquin; and Krishan Trotman at Legacy Lit. Panelists will discuss their daily duties, their careers, their imprints, and their book lists. Register for free at Event Brite.
  • I cannot recommend #52 snapshots enough. The amount of material my siblings and cousins are finding is incredible. One cousin just found three long-playing 78s his father recorded about his World War II experiences.
  • ICYMI: Thanks to those of you who attended last week’s event with Liza Wiemer. If you missed it, you can access the recording here.  You will need the passcode: &1=xN=&B
  • Save the Date! “The History of Genocide in Cinema” with co-editor Dr. Bill Hewitt, moderated by Michael Griffith, Mercer County Community College Communications Department. Date: Feb. 25. Time: 6 pm ET.

Stay healthy and safe!
