Mid-Week Field Notes | April 28, 2021

Three quick things this week:

  • I have signed the contract for my bio in verse and have completed the revisions. As soon as I’m able, I’ll announce the work. Meanwhile, I’ve joined a novel-writing Amherst Writers & Artists group for eight weeks to generate new material for my new YA novel in verse that takes place in the postwar period.
  • The Jewish Book Council has confirmed my 37 Days at Sea: Aboard the MS St. Louis, 1939 program proposal slot for the Jewish Authors Network to present to a virtual room of JCC representatives on May 26.
  • Save the Date, May 27, at 6 pm ET: “It’s Personal: Grandchildren Carry the Legacies of Their Holocaust Survivor Grandparents.” Two speakers representing 3GNJ and 3GNY address how their grandparents’ narratives shaped their own lives. The event is hosted by the Mercer Holocaust, Genocide & Human Rights Center.  Details to come soon.
