Good news! The first of #52snapshots, the one called “Black Taffeta” about my father’s paternal grandmother and my namesake, Bryna Krasner, has been accepted for Fall 2021 publication by The Kelsey Review. This is the only journal I submitted it to. It’s the literary journal associated with Mercer County Community College where I direct the Holocaust, Genocide & Human Rights Center and where I teach in the English and History departments. My goal is to have some literary work–fiction, poetry, or nonfiction–published in each issue. I think this will be the fifth consecutive year my work has been published in this journal, and I’ve been teaching there since 2016.
Attempts to get more information about my maternal grandmother have been futile. No one seems to remember anything.
This Week
I’ve been working on my Holocaustkidlit database to delve back into my PhD dissertation. I completely underestimated the number of books I’d need to input and so this process may take a full week. However, I do have a few writing sessions this week and maybe the prompts will trigger a question or memory.
Onward!
Congratulations!
Thanks so much, Susan!
Congratulations, Barbara. That is great news.
Thanks so much, Rosi!
