Mid-Week Field Notes | July 14, 2021

Some quick things:

  1. My Holocaust kidlit database is nearly complete–about 700 books published since 1952. If any of you are educators and teach the Holocaust in your classroom, I’d like to know which books you use and how book selections are made.
  2. Serendipity is real! I’m starting work on my new YA novel in verse project. Turns out the Jewish Historical Society of New Jersey is working on digitizing the very files I need and a doctoral candidate colleague has already suggested some new sources that he’s come across for his dissertation.
  3. I will likely have to bow out of personal writing for the next few months so I can get the draft of my dissertation now. Except for the proposal for this new YA novel in verse that my editor wants soon and keeping up with #52snapshots.
