Mid-Week Field Notes–June 8, 2022

Field Notes

Some very quick things:

  1. One of my short stories, one I felt pretty good about, received three rejections in the last week. I’ve lobbed it into a critique service, although in retrospect, I should probably have “critiqued” it myself.
  2. I want to start a project to collect photographs of Jewish life in Galicia and analyze them, to create a narrative. If you have any photos of your family’s Galician past, please contact me through comments here.
  3. I’ve been in a faculty seminar virtually at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum since last Tuesday. It focuses on Holocaust photography. While I’ve been learning a lot, it’s very tough and heavy material.

Have a good week!
